Hay Day is a farming simulation game where the player manages a farm, produces goods, fills orders, and expands the land over time. The game does not have a traditional story campaign with missions divided into chapters. Instead, it starts with the player taking over a small farm and gradually turning it into a larger production area with crops, animals, machines, visitors, and delivery systems.

From a Small Field to a Working Farm

At the beginning, the player grows basic crops such as wheat and corn. These crops can be harvested, replanted, sold, or used to make other products. As the player reaches higher levels, more crops, animals, buildings, and production machines become available. Chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, and goats provide materials such as eggs, milk, bacon, wool, and goat milk, which are then used in different recipes.

Orders, Production, and Trade

Gameplay is built around producing items and deciding how to use them. The player can fill truck orders, sell goods to visitors, load boat crates, complete town requests, or place products in the roadside shop for other players to buy. Production takes time, so the player needs to plan what to make first and which resources to keep.

The main activities in Hay Day include:

·         planting and harvesting crops;

·         feeding animals and collecting products;

·         making goods in production buildings;

·         completing truck, boat, and town orders;

·         selling items in the roadside shop;

·         expanding land and storage;

·         joining a neighborhood and taking part in derbies.

Progress Without Standard Levels

Hay Day uses player levels, but it does not have action levels or separate stages. Experience points are earned by harvesting, producing, completing orders, and serving visitors. Leveling up unlocks new features, such as more crops, machines, animals, decorations, fishing areas, the town, and neighborhood activities. Coins are used to buy buildings and upgrades, while expansion materials help increase the farm area, barn, and silo capacity.

To play, the player should keep crops growing, feed animals regularly, and maintain a supply of basic products. It is useful to check which orders are worth completing and which items are better sold to other players. The game continues at a steady pace because crops and machines work in real time. The main goal is to build an efficient farm, unlock more production options, and manage resources without running out of space or materials.
