Hurry Up Chicken Butt

Hurry Up Chicken Butt is an activity game for two to six players in which a chicken-shaped shaker is passed around a circle. The main objective is to complete short physical tasks and move the chicken before its hidden timer expires. There is no story, campaign, or fictional goal. Each session functions as an independent match built around movement, reaction speed, and following simple instructions.

Preparing the Circle and Activity Cards

Each player receives a nest playmat and places it on the floor or table in front of them. The purple, blue, and green activity cards are separated into three decks and shuffled. One card of each color is revealed in the center, while the remaining cards are returned to the box for that round. Everyone should read and practice the three selected activities before starting. A group may replace any task that is unsuitable for its players or available space.

What Happens After a Shake

The youngest participant begins with the chicken on their nest. A button on the bottom activates the timer, after which the starting player shakes the chicken. A colored cube inside determines what must happen next. Once the required action has been completed, the chicken is passed to the player on the left, who repeats the same procedure. The possible results are:

• Purple: perform the action shown on the purple card.
• Blue: complete the activity displayed on the blue card.
• Green: follow the instruction on the green card.
• Yellow: run to the Chicken Butt Challenge, touch it, and return.
• Pink: choose any of the three visible activities.
• Rainbow: shake the chicken again to receive another result.

Racing Against an Unseen Timer

Players do not know exactly when the chicken will make its final sound, so every action must be completed without unnecessary delays. The Chicken Butt Challenge is positioned outside the circle before the match begins. It may be placed across the room, beneath a table, or in another safe and accessible location. When yellow appears, the current player must say “Hurry up, Chicken Butt,” reach the challenge, and come back before passing the shaker.
