Its structure is based on repeated battles, tower upgrades, enemy waves, bosses, coins, and long-term progression. The main goal is to make the tower stronger so it can survive for longer in each run.

One Tower Against Many Waves

Unlike many tower defense games, The Tower does not ask the player to place many towers across a map. The player manages a single central tower that attacks incoming enemies. As the wave number increases, enemies become harder to destroy. The player has to improve damage, attack speed, range, defense, and other stats to keep the tower active. Each run continues until the tower is destroyed.

Upgrades During and After Runs

Gameplay is based on short-term and permanent upgrades. During a run, the player earns coins and uses them to improve the tower for that session. After the run ends, resources can be used in the workshop to make permanent improvements. This creates an incremental loop where losing is part of progress, because each attempt can help the tower become stronger for the next attempt.

The main things players do in The Tower include:

·         defending one tower from enemy waves;

·         buying upgrades during a run;

·         using coins for permanent workshop improvements;

·         surviving boss waves;

·         unlocking new areas and systems;

·         improving tower stats over time;

·         testing different upgrade priorities.

Progress Through Survival Time

The Tower does not use standard story levels. Progress is measured through waves survived, upgrades unlocked, research, areas, and stronger builds. The player may start with simple tower stats, but more systems become available as they continue playing. Since it is an idle and incremental game, progress can be slow and depends on repeating runs, collecting resources, and choosing upgrades carefully.

To play, the user starts a run and watches enemies move toward the tower. The tower attacks automatically, but the player chooses upgrades and decides which stats are most important. Damage helps destroy enemies faster, health and defense help the tower survive, and economy upgrades help earn more resources. The main objective is to survive as many waves as possible, collect coins, improve the tower after defeat, and return with a stronger setup.
