Throw Throw Burrito: Extreme Outdoor Edition combines real-time card matching with physical throwing battles. It is designed for two to six players and replaces the small foam pieces from the standard game with two large inflatable burritos. The game has no narrative, characters, or campaign. Its objective is to collect matching cards, earn points, and avoid penalties during battles. Because the inflatable pieces require room for throwing and dodging, the playing area should be cleared before the match begins.

The deck contains 120 large, water-resistant cards. Each participant receives a personal draw pile of approximately fifteen cards and takes five cards into their hand. Remaining cards form community piles that everyone can reach. There are no individual turns: all players draw and discard simultaneously. A card is taken from the pile on the right, while an unwanted card is placed on the pile to the left. Players continue moving cards until they assemble three identical symbols.
A normal set of three matching cards is placed in front of its owner and provides one point. Sets containing special Burrito Battle Cards are worth two points and immediately interrupt the card phase. Depending on the completed set, selected players or most of the group must grab the inflatable burritos. The person who loses the confrontation receives a Burrito Bruise, which subtracts one point during scoring.
The three battle formats work differently:
Throw Throw Burrito: Extreme Outdoor Edition does not feature levels, maps, or unlockable stages. A match is divided into two scoring rounds. When the cards are exhausted, each player adds points from completed sets and subtracts points for collected Burrito Bruises. The winner of the first round receives the Fear Me Badge. Cards are then prepared again for the second round.
If the badge holder also wins the second round, that player becomes the overall champion. If another participant wins, the two players settle the match through a final Burrito Duel. Effective play requires managing a five-card hand while monitoring incoming cards and nearby opponents. Players should form ordinary sets for reliable points but remain ready to stop drawing when a battle is announced. Dodging, catching, using an inflatable burrito as a shield, and choosing appropriate targets can determine the result alongside card collection.
