All players act simultaneously. Each person keeps five cards in hand, draws from a personal pile on the right, and discards unwanted cards face down onto the pile belonging to the player on the left. This creates a continuous flow of cards around the table. When three identical normal cards are collected, the set is placed in the scoring area and counts as one point. Players then refill their hands and continue searching.
Sets of three matching Battle Cards are worth two points and immediately interrupt normal play. The player places the set down and announces the battle type. Everyone must stop passing cards until the result is settled. The first eligible participant hit by a thrown burrito loses the battle and takes one Burrito Bruise, which removes one point during scoring.
The game includes three battle formats:
Throw Throw Burrito has no numbered levels, but a complete game is divided into two rounds. A round finishes when all six Burrito Bruises have been distributed. Players add one point for every normal set, two points for every Battle Card set, and subtract one point for each Bruise. The highest-scoring player wins the round. Ties are resolved through an additional burrito battle.
The winner of the first round receives the Fear Me Badge. Cards and Bruises are reset before the second round begins. If the badge holder wins again, that player wins the game. If another participant takes the second round, the two round winners complete a final Burrito Duel. Before playing, fragile objects should be moved away and enough space should be left for dodging and throwing. Catching an opponent’s burrito can also decide a battle, while missed throws may be retrieved and used again.
