Sonic Forces

Sonic Forces is an action platform game where the player controls Sonic and other characters in a fight against Dr. Eggman’s army. The game has a story campaign. In the plot, Eggman takes control of most of the world with the help of powerful enemies, and Sonic’s friends form a resistance group. The player helps the resistance take back different areas, rescue Sonic, and stop Eggman’s plan.

A Story About the Resistance

The story is built around missions across different locations. The player sees familiar Sonic characters, including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and others. The game also includes a custom character called the Avatar, who becomes part of the resistance. This character is created by the player and takes part in several story stages. The campaign moves from one mission to another as the resistance tries to recover territory and defeat Eggman’s forces.

Speed, Platforming, and Character Types

Gameplay changes depending on the stage type. Modern Sonic stages focus on high-speed running, boosting, jumping, homing attacks, and avoiding obstacles. Classic Sonic stages use side-scrolling platform gameplay with jumps, springs, enemies, and more traditional movement. Avatar stages include weapons called Wispons, which give different attack or movement abilities. Some stages combine Sonic and the Avatar, allowing both characters to work together.

The main things players do in Sonic Forces include:

·         using homing attacks against enemies;

·         playing as Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic, and the Avatar;

Campaign Stages and Extra Missions

Sonic Forces uses a level-based structure. The player moves through story stages on a world map, and each stage has a specific route, enemies, hazards, and objective. Some levels focus on speed, while others include more platforming or combat. There are also extra missions, secret stages, daily missions, and ranking results after completing a level. The player can replay stages to improve time, score, and rank.

To play, the user chooses the available stage and controls the character through the route. Rings help protect the character from losing immediately after taking damage, so collecting them is important. During fast sections, the player should react to obstacles, enemies, and sudden turns. In Avatar stages, it is useful to choose a Wispon that fits the level style. The main goal is to complete the campaign, stop Eggman’s army, unlock more customization items, and improve results in completed stages.
