Carnival Hunt is an online asymmetric survival game where one player becomes the Monster while others play as Bunnies. The two sides share the same limitation: without wind-up keys, they cannot continue. The Bunnies must maintain their charge and stay alive until the Monster runs out of energy, while the Monster hunts them to extend its own survival. The carnival setting reinforces this conflict by providing a maze-like stage filled with hiding places, hazards, and open arenas that favor both roles at different moments.

Bunny Perspective

The Bunnies’ objective is survival through cooperation. Each player gradually loses charge and needs another Bunny to rewind them. This mechanic encourages teamwork, but the act of rewinding creates sound that can alert the Monster. Players can also pick up spare keys scattered across the map or donate their own charge to revive teammates who have been caught. Strategic hiding, movement through safe paths, and deception play a major part in avoiding the hunter.

Core Mechanics And Features

The structure of Carnival Hunt is based on resource tension and asymmetric roles. Both sides are under pressure to manage their keys, time, and environment.

The Monster must decide how aggressively to pursue, when to investigate groups of seemingly dead Bunnies, and how to balance time spent checking corpses with continuing the hunt. The role requires constant adaptation, as wasting energy can mean losing the match.

Replayability And Player Experience

Carnival Hunt emphasizes replayability through unpredictability. Different player strategies, map layouts, and decisions ensure no two sessions are identical. Bunnies may coordinate tightly in one match but scatter in another. The Monster may aggressively chase early or conserve energy for later. The first-person point of view keeps awareness limited, preventing any role from having an advantage. Together, these mechanics create a cycle of tension and variety that sustains repeated play sessions.
