There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension is a point-and-click comedy puzzle adventure where the game itself tries to stop the player from playing. The story begins with a voice called Game, who insists that there is no game and asks the player not to continue. After the player ignores these warnings, the situation turns into a journey through broken game worlds, strange interfaces, and other dimensions.

Story and Main Idea

The game has a clear story, but it tells it in an unusual way. Instead of giving the player a normal hero, inventory, and mission list, it treats the screen, menus, icons, and buttons as puzzle objects. Game and the User move through different situations while dealing with Mr. Glitch, a software anomaly that causes errors and changes the rules of the worlds they enter.

Point-and-Click Puzzle Gameplay

Gameplay is based on observation, experimentation, and interaction with objects on the screen. The player clicks, drags, drops, combines, and rearranges interface elements to solve puzzles. Many tasks require thinking beyond standard adventure-game logic. Sometimes the solution involves using a menu item, breaking a title screen, moving a word, or changing how the game system behaves.

Main gameplay elements include:

·         clicking and dragging objects on the screen;

·         solving logic and interface-based puzzles;

·         listening to clues from Game’s voice-over;

·         using hints when stuck;

·         moving through different game worlds;

·         interacting with menus, buttons, and text;

·         dealing with glitches and broken mechanics;

·         completing chapters to continue the story.

Chapters and Progression

There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension does not use levels like an arcade or platform game. Progression is based on chapters. The main chapters include Mise en Abyme, Behind the Scenes, The Good, the Bad and the Princess, Free2Pay, Loss of Control, and Back Home, followed by an ending section. Each chapter changes the style of puzzles and often imitates or parodies a different type of game.

To play effectively, the player should inspect everything on the screen and avoid assuming that decorative elements are useless. The game often hides solutions inside words, windows, icons, and sounds. If a normal click does not work, dragging or combining objects may be necessary. There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension is mainly about puzzle solving, comedy, meta-game ideas, voice interaction, and moving through a story where the game constantly argues with the player.
