Banshee

Banshee starts when you wake up in a locked house filled with silence and confusion. The character has no idea how they ended up there, and no instructions are given. Every exit is blocked, and the only way forward is to explore the space around you. The rooms are poorly lit, the furniture is scattered, and the deeper you go, the more strange the layout becomes. As you begin to search for clues, it becomes clear that the house is not empty, and you are not alone.

A Pattern of Risk and Return

The main danger in the game is the Banshee itself, a figure that patrols the house unpredictably. You cannot fight it, and if it catches you, you are sent back to the start of the game cycle and lose one in-game day. After five days, the game ends in failure. Avoiding the Banshee becomes a game of planning and movement, where every sound and step must be calculated. Some areas are more dangerous than others, and sometimes you have no choice but to take a chance.

The main tasks you will face:

·         Search the environment for keys and useful objects

·         Combine specific items to progress further

·         Avoid being seen or heard by Banshee

·         Watch out for traps that delay or distract you

·         Complete your escape within five days

These tasks define how you move through the game and how each attempt plays out differently.

Learning Through Repetition

Although the layout of the house stays the same, your understanding grows with every run. You remember where certain tools were found, how to solve puzzles more quickly, and when to stay hidden. There is no combat or power-up system, only your memory and your ability to think under time pressure. The game never tells you exactly what to do, so observation becomes your most important skill. Each item you collect may serve a purpose later, and some combinations are not obvious at first.

A Test of Awareness and Timing

Banshee is about quiet tension, not fast reactions. You are constantly pushed to take risks, but punished if you move too carelessly. The pressure increases with each lost day, and success depends on how well you plan and adapt. The ending you reach is based on how much you were able to uncover and how fast you managed to escape. Even if you fail, every playthrough gives more knowledge to use next time. The game creates a cycle of trial, error, and small victories that build toward one final outcome—escape or defeat.
